Christmas Bureau Project involves the church adopting families through the Volunteer Center of Topeka’s Christmas Bureau as well as the residents of Heartland Homes. Congregational members adopt the various individuals providing them with a $30 gift. Donated money funds the purchase of generous boxes of food for Christmas dinner. Volunteers help by making phone calls, checking boxes, filling food boxes, and delivery. Contact persons: Veryl & Loretta Peter (478-1918) or Gary Caruthers (478-1875).
Periodic requests are made to support giving opportunities to Ronald McDonald House, Heifer Project’s Noah’s Ark campaign, Christmas in July for Heartland Homes, Rescue Mission, CROP Walk and school supplies for Let’s Help. Information about these activities is published in the church newsletter.
Pumpkin Junction is a fundraiser for Missions held during the month of October. The proceeds go to various helping agencies in the Topeka area.
